A milestone we’re proud to share

HawkCell’s Information Security Management System is now ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified.

ISO/IEC 27001 is the international reference for information security management. It defines how an organization identifies the risks to the data it handles, puts the right controls in place and keeps improving them over time. Our system was independently audited against every requirement of the standard by Prescient Security, an accredited certification body.

Every day, veterinary teams trust us with their imaging data across MRI, CT and CBCT. That trust deserves more than good intentions. It deserves audited security behind our software, our infrastructure and the people who run them.

The certification covers the secure provision of our cloud-based and on-premises AI solutions, our infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services, and every team behind them: IT, Software Development, Information Security, Human Resources, Legal and Finance.

What the certificate covers

The certification applies to the ISMS supporting HawkCell SAS’s secure provision of cloud-based and on-premises AI solutions for medical imaging for veterinary practices, including infrastructure hosted on AWS and six internal departments.

Certification cycle

Certified today, audited every year

The certificate is valid for three years, subject to satisfactory surveillance audits. The auditor returns every year to confirm the system is still working as designed.

Prescient Security certifies the HawkCell ISMS. Certificate no. 123439.

1st surveillance audit

Annual external audit to confirm the system is maintained.

2nd surveillance audit

Second annual external audit.

Recertification

End of the three-year cycle and full reassessment.

How an ISMS works

A security system that keeps running

ISO/IEC 27001 does not certify a one-time checklist. It certifies a management system that runs in a continuous loop. The requirements of the standard (clauses 4 to 10) follow the Plan, Do, Check, Act logic used across ISO management systems.

  1. Plan Clauses 4–7

    Assess and decide

    Define the scope, set the policy and objectives, assess information risks and choose the controls to treat them.

  2. Do Clause 8

    Operate the controls

    Put the chosen controls into operation across every team in scope, and reassess risks when things change.

  3. Check Clause 9

    Monitor and audit

    Measure how well the controls work, run internal audits and management reviews. The auditor checks it every year.

  4. Act Clause 10

    Correct and improve

    Fix nonconformities and feed every lesson back into the next cycle.
